The family members became concerned and began searching for the victim. A family member located the victim’s vehicle parked at the incident location in the parking lot. When the family member approached the vehicle, they observed the victim inside, suffering from a gunshot wound and called the police.

Deceased.Bfr transported the adult female victim to a local area hospital; she suffered serious injuries.The preliminary investigation suggests the gunshot victims went to the area and then were involved in a verbal argument with a party they knew. Shots were fired.There was a heavy police presence on the scene; officers believed the suspect was still in the area. Officers were able to talk a person of interest into coming outside of a residence. The person of interest was taken into custody free of incident. The person of interest was transported to bpd headquarters where he will be interviewed by homicide detectives. Omicide detectives will present case information to the jefferson county district attorney’s office who will then decide whether criminal charges should be filed.

Officers arrived on the scene and entered an apartment complex parking lot when they observed two adult males lying unresponsive suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Birmingham fire and rescue (bfr) personnel arrived on the scene and pronounced the victim deceased. Bfr transported a second male to uab hospital with life-threatening- injuries. The preliminary investigation suggests there was large altercation the parking lot when multiple individuals began firing at one another. Shot spotter registered over twenty rounds fired.

At 12:43am on oct 16, 1989 local volunteer firefighters responded to a report of a house fire at the worthy home which is located one mile off interstate 59/20 on alabama highway 216. The bodies of both victims were found in the house. Initial investigation revealed that both victims were shot and killed when they returned home from a sunday night church service where mrs. Worthy served as choir director. The house was then intentionally set on fire in an apparent attempt to destroy evidence of the crime. Ac worthy served as an officer at the local vfw post bessemer. He was known to carry large amounts of cash on his person. One month after the murders, investigators were contacted by an agent with the florida department of law enforcement concerning a double homicide of an elderly couple in graceville florida in january of that same year. On january 29, 1989 robert f. Mcrae, sr. Age 72 and his wife, katherine p. Mcrae, age 70 were found murdered in their residence in graceville florida. The couple was discovered after neighborhood children went to the mcrae residence to visit and found two ski masks lying near the back door. The children became frightened and ran to a neighbor's house to report the discovery. The graceville police department was summoned and, upon entry, found the bodies of mr. And mrs. Mcrae. Mrs. Mcrae was thumbed cuffed behind her back and both she and her husband had been shot in the head. Upon comparing the two cases, evidence found at both crimes scenes determined that the two cases were linked

Further investigation revealed a male unresponsive in the passenger seat suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased on the scene. Officer were also alerted of a person down at the corner of 57th street and avenue p. It was determined he was wounded by gunfire and succumb to his injuries as well. The preliminary investigation suggests both victims were inside the same vehicle when they were shot. Detectives believe the second victim ran from the location and collapsed at 57th street and ave p. Details of what lead to this incident are under investigation. There are no suspects in custody. Updates will be provided as this case develops.

On april 18, 1982 an unidentified female was found deceased on the bank of the black warrior river in romulus. The female had been murdered by strangulation. This female was described as a white female, 34-38 years old, 5'-4" tall and weighing 110-115 lbs. She had dark brown hair, a somewhat ruddy complexion, and had a scar over her right eye below her eyebrow. A partial upper denture was in place. She was dressed in tennis shoes (size 7), blue knit pants with a stretch waistband, long-sleeved blue shirt (brand: "Preppy"), white bra and white panties. The female was never positively identified and no suspect has been charged with her death.

On the night of april 21, 1973 ellis left her residence at martha parham hall and rode a bicycle to a concert being held on the university of alabama campus. The nitty gritty dirt band was playing a midnight concert on woods quad. Before noon the following day, easter sunday, her body was found approximately 10 miles away. Ellis had been strangled and her body dumped from a bridge. No suspect has ever been arrested in this case.

Two motorcyclists were killed in Mothers Day hit-and-run accidents and police need help solving the crimes. Dwayne McMahon, 52, of Snellville, Georgia, was driving a Honda CBR when he was struck by another car, possibly a dark-colored Honda, at 12:35 a.M. At the I-240 and I-55 interchange. The car’s driver fled the scene. Three hours later, Memphian Landy Tarrance Jr., 20, Was found dead at the scene on Covington Pike north of Raleigh LaGrange Road. He was killed when a Ford F-120 pickup struck his Suzuki. Two men in the truck got out and fled on foot.

Officers arrived and located a female victim with severe head trauma. Tamiko Montgomery was transported to Regional One Hospital in extremely critical condition. An unknown male was seen standing over the woman before running east from the location. On July 30, 2016 Ms. Montgomery died of the injuries she sustained. Her death has been ruled a homicide.

He was shot by the intruders, who fled – carrying items they took from the home – in a four-door white Toyota Corolla driven by a woman. Byers, who was 30, died soon after at the Regional One Medical Center

Jones was getting ready to go to work as a Shelby County Vector Control employee that morning when the power went out. He went outside to check and apparently surprised burglary suspects. After a short struggle, Jones, a deacon in his church and engaged to be married, was shot and died as he struggled to reach a neighbor’s house.
