Woody and his wife patricia ann woody were found in their single family home on rudy york road just outside the city limits of cartersville. The bodies were discovered by robert's employer who had gone to the home when robert failed to show up for work that morning. Robert had been beaten and stabbed and patricia had been strangled and stabbed. The woody's were last seen alive at 11pm the previous evening, tuesday, april 24, 1990, when they left a friend's residence in patricia woody's car. Investigators think the murders occurred sometime between midnight and 3:00am on april 25, 1990. Because there were no signs of forced entry into the home, investigators believe the assailant knew the victims and that robert was the target of the attacks. Patricia became a victim because of her mere presence in the residence that night.

The gbi and the cartersville police department are seeking information on the murder of a convenience store clerk that occurred during the early morning hours of january 18, 1993, at a magic market on cassville road in the city of cartersville. The clerk, luise martinez, was shot once in the head in an apparent robbery attempt. No money was taken because the cash register could not be opened. Martinez, who was 41 years old, was working in georgia living out of the back of his van trying to support his family who still lived in mora county, new mexico. Martinez had served as a sheriff's deputy there and was a marine veteran, having served two tours of duty in vietnam. Police are seeking three young black males as possible witnesses. The three, in their late teens or early twenties, were seen in the area twenty to thirty minutes before the murder and may have seen the offender(s) arrive at the store. Two were wearing miami hurricane starter jackets and one a university of georgia starter jacket. The bartow county sheriff's office, the georgia state patrol and the gbi are involved in the investigation of the drive-by shooting of a cartersville businessman that occurred around 7:30 wednesday morning, january 20, 1993, onhighway 41 just south of adairsville. The victim, 45 year old johnny mitchell jenkins, owner of jenkins transport in adairsville, was traveling north on highway 41 when he apparently was shot from another vehicle near the intersection of ccc road . Jenkins' vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree, which initially gave the appearance of a routine traffic accident. It was discovered later at floyd medical center that in addition to injuries sustained in the collision, jenkins had been shot several times with a shotgun. Investigators believe this was not a random shooting but a planned hit on mr. Jenkins. They are looking into the possibility that it may be connected to his business dealings. An unusual twist to this case is that a niece (by marriage) of mr. Jenkins was injured in a drive-by shooting that occurred the night of july 21, 1992, around 9:00 p.M. While she was traveling on halls station road from adairsville to her home in kingston. A shotgun was also used in this shooting. Eleven-year-old levi frady was last seen on wednesday, october 22, 1997, on little mill road in forsyth county. His body was found the next day in the dawson forest wildlife management area in dawson county. Little mill road is a well-traveled road between highway 306 and 369. The dawson county sheriff's office, the forsyth county sheriff's office and the gbi regional office in cleveland are investigating the murder. Note: october 22,1997, was the fifth game of the world series. October 23,1997, was opening day for deer hunting in dawson forest for rifles. Investigators are also seeking the public's help in identifying 2 possible witnesses in the levi frady murder case. The first person in question was seen walking along little mill road in forsyth county at 6:30 p.M. On october 22, the day levi was reported missing. Based on witness descriptions, the sketches below - profile and front views - of the man were made by gbi forensic artist marla. He is described as a white male in his late 50's, with a scruffy, gray beard. He was wearing a faded blue baseball cap. He walked in a stooped fashion. The second person or potential witness was seen in the dawson forest wildlife management area. He is described as a white male, 45 to 55 years of age, clean shaven, 6' 0" to 6' 1" tall, slim build with white or gray hair. He was driving a 1980 to 1985 medium blue toyota, 2 wheel drive, pick-up truck with a white camper shell over the bed of the vehicle. On thursday, april 15, 2004 between the hours of 11:30 am and 12:00 noon, patrice endres, a 38 year old wife and mother, disappeared from her salon, tamber’s trim ‘n tan, located at 6195 matt highway/ highway 369 cumming, forsyth county, georgia. Endres was last seen just before 11:30 am and was discovered missing just after noon. After the forsyth county sheriff’s office responded to a request for assistance and began their investigation, it was discovered that money had been taken from the salon, endres’ lunch was uneaten, her car keys were present and her vehicle had been moved from it’s normal location. On december 6, 2005, skeletal remains were located behind a church off of kelly bridge road in dawson county, georgia. Those remains were identified as patrice endres. Endres’ wedding ring was never recovered. The ring consists of two bands soldered together with a marquis diamond center stone. It is the hope of law enforcement that someone may recognize the ring, which may lead them to the person responsible.
