Because there were no signs of forced entry into the home, investigators believe the assailant knew the victims and that robert was the target of the attacks. The gbi, adairsville police department and bartow county sheriff's office are seeking information on the murder of a 20 year old federal jobs corps trainee whose body was found near adairsville on october 6, 1992. The victim, walter j. Cropper, was last seen sunday, september 20, 1992 at 1:00 pm in prestonsburg, kentucky. He was seen walking down the road in front of the jobs corps center in prestonsburg. He was to graduate from the jobs corps the next week and return to his home in panama city, florida. On thursday, october 6, 1992, cropper's partially decomposed body was discovered 20 feet from martin luther king, jr., drive which is located about a mile from the intersection of I-75 & highway 140 in adairsville. He had been shot in the chest. Investigators do not believe he was killed at this location. They also think his death occurred the day he disappeared from kentucky - sunday, september 20, 1992. The gbi and the cartersville police department are seeking information on the murder of a convenience store clerk that occurred during the early morning hours of january 18, 1993, at a magic market on cassville road in the city of cartersville. The clerk, luise martinez, was shot once in the head in an apparent robbery attempt. No money was taken because the cash register could not be opened. Martinez, who was 41 years old, was working in georgia living out of the back of his van trying to support his family who still lived in mora county, new mexico. Martinez had served as a sheriff's deputy there and was a marine veteran, having served two tours of duty in vietnam. Police are seeking three young black males as possible witnesses. The three, in their late teens or early twenties, were seen in the area twenty to thirty minutes before the murder and may have seen the offender(s) arrive at the store. Two were wearing miami hurricane starter jackets and one a university of georgia starter jacket. The bartow county sheriff's office, the georgia state patrol and the gbi are involved in the investigation of the drive-by shooting of a cartersville businessman that occurred around 7:30 wednesday morning, january 20, 1993, onhighway 41 just south of adairsville. The victim, 45 year old johnny mitchell jenkins, owner of jenkins transport in adairsville, was traveling north on highway 41 when he apparently was shot from another vehicle near the intersection of ccc road . Jenkins' vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree, which initially gave the appearance of a routine traffic accident. It was discovered later at floyd medical center that in addition to injuries sustained in the collision, jenkins had been shot several times with a shotgun. Investigators believe this was not a random shooting but a planned hit on mr. Jenkins. They are looking into the possibility that it may be connected to his business dealings. An unusual twist to this case is that a niece (by marriage) of mr. Jenkins was injured in a drive-by shooting that occurred the night of july 21, 1992, around 9:00 p.M. While she was traveling on halls station road from adairsville to her home in kingston. A shotgun was also used in this shooting. On april 5, 1998, douglas edgell, founder and president of edgell communications, randolph, new jersey, arrived in atlanta for a business trip. Mr, edgell rented a chevrolet lumina and drove to his hotel room at the wingate inn-peachtree corners, 5800 peachtree industrial boulevard, norcross, ga.Over the next several days, mr. Edgell made numerous sales calls in the atlanta area. On april 9, 1998, mr. Edgell checked out of his hotel room, made two sales calls, then arrived at hartsfield international airport for his trip home. While awaiting his flight, mr. Edgell became ill. He was subsequently treated and transported to south fulton medical center. Mr. Edgell died on april 10, 1998.The autopsy showed that while in atlanta, mr. Edgell received blunt force trauma to his head that ultimately caused his death.

Hawkins never returned to get his vehicle, and it was later impounded by sam’s club on 08/28/2021. He had light brown hair, brown eyes and a fair complexion. He had a scar on his chin and was last seen wearing a turquoise cap and blue jeans. He spoke english with a slight german accent.On april 27, 1992, zahn had taken an overnight bus from jacksonville, florida, to atlanta and checked into a hotel across the street from the bus station.Zahn was last heard from at 4:15pm on april 28, 1992, when he placed a call to his travel agent in orange county, florida, from a telephone at the denny’s restaurant on mountain industrial boulevard in tucker, georgia.Between april 30 and may 11, zahn's credit card was used 31 times in the atlanta area, including cobb & carroll counties. Arrested and convicted in connection with these fraudulent credit card transactions was harry eugene hale, a 47 year old white male who lived & worked in the austell area from may through october of 1992. Hale is 6'1", 185 lbs. With thin, graying brown hair and green eyes. Hale has homes in kentucky and florida. He was arrested in miami, florida on carroll & cobb county warrants on forgery related charges for using zahn's credit cards.At the time of zahn's disappearance, hale drove a 1993 red ford probe with ga. On wednesday, may 16, 1984, a vehicle belonging to helen ann morgan was discovered at atlanta hartsfield international airport apparently abandoned in the south terminal parking lot. Morgan had been reported missing on may 14, 1984, from lamar county, georgia. Her mother last saw morgan on sunday, may 13, 1984, (mother's day).On that sunday, morgan allegedly received a telephone call around 7:00 p.M., which lasted four to six minutes. The call may have been related to her work at the national cash register company (fayetteville, georgia) in the computer center. Another call came in at approximately 10:00 p.M., from what again sounded work related. Upon hanging up, morgan told her mother that she had to go to work to straighten out a problem with a computer. This was the last time morgan's mother saw her. Morgan changed her clothes and left the residence. Morgan's mother did not see what she was wearing when she left home.During the investigation, morgan was described as being a very conscientious person with a great deal of ambition and not the type to leave without notifying anyone. Morgan occasionally visited a bar called "Frady's" in peachtree city with her friends but was not the type person to be picked up by anyone at a bar. Prior to morgan's disappearance, morgan did not seem upset nor had she made any indication that she was making plans to travel.Since morgan's disappearance, no purchases or any activity has been noted on any of morgan's financial accounts.Helen ann morgan has left an ex-husband and a daughter. Before her divorce was final in february or march of 1984, morgan confided to her mother that she believed she was being followed.
