Mark gregg, a 54-year-old disabled truck driver was discovered by his wife, slain about 9pm on april 18, 2009. Gregg had been shot multiple times with a 12-gauge shotgun at close range some time during the day inside the couple's north road home in green cove springs. A distinctive-looking armsel striker 12-gauge shotgun with a revolving ammunition cylinder - commonly known as a "Street sweeper" - was missing from gregg's small gun collection. Gregg had a license to legally own that semi-automatic shotgun, which appeared to be the only firearm missing from the home. Detectives believe that particular "Street sweeper" to be the murder weapon. There were no obvious signs of forced entry to the home. But a jewelry box appeared to have been tossed over, and some cigarettes looked to be missing. Matthew ryan brumbaugh, 21, and roommate chelsea danielle shade rohn, 16, were shot to death, execution-style, on april 24, 2007, inside the home they lived in on jean court in middleburg's greenwood subdivision. A third roommate discovered their bodies about 2:30am. Rohn and brumbaugh were down on their knees, facing the killer or killers when shot at close range. As the victim and his daughter approached nw 12 st. And began walking south, the suspects appeared and demanded their money. The victim refused and then chased the suspects. On monday, 06-27-05, at 2:33pm, gainesville police received a 911 call from the victim, phillip "Brian" sweat advising he had just been stabbed. Before going unconscious, he told dispatch his attacker was a b/m, wearing a long sleeve blue shirt. Sweat was stabbed in his front yard, 4024 sw 38th st (near archer rd and I-75). His house was at the end of a secluded cul-de-sac, but backed up to several cheap hotels (motel 6, ramada, etc). Sweat drove a newer, red, toyota spider convertible, which was still parked in his driveway.
