Update: january 2019 - andrelo witcher was sentenced to 30 years in prison for the death of his former girlfriend heather ann maccrossen. No one has seen maccrossenn since august 2007, when she came back to florida after seeking refuge with her family in michigan after witcher had beaten her. A jury was convinced solely on witness testimony that witcher killed maccrossen despite her body never being found. Heather was returning to florida from michigan on a bus. She was supposed to get off in lake city, fl but may have continued to gainesville. She was last heard from on the phone when she got off the bus. On monday, 06-27-05, at 2:33pm, gainesville police received a 911 call from the victim, phillip "Brian" sweat advising he had just been stabbed. Before going unconscious, he told dispatch his attacker was a b/m, wearing a long sleeve blue shirt. Sweat was stabbed in his front yard, 4024 sw 38th st (near archer rd and I-75). His house was at the end of a secluded cul-de-sac, but backed up to several cheap hotels (motel 6, ramada, etc). Sweat drove a newer, red, toyota spider convertible, which was still parked in his driveway. He said he saw the hitchhiker going through his father's clothing at home and he took his grandfather's pocket knife.
