At around 5:20 p.M., east precinct officers were dispatched to a car accident call in the 1700 block of indian summer drive.Officers arrived on the scene when they observed a wrecked vehicle in the front yard of a residence. Officers observed the vehicle had been shot into. On thursday, february 15, 2024, west precinct officers and bpd’s special victim’s unit detectives began investigating the disappearance of angeliyah webster and christian norris. The couple was last seen on valentine’s day 2024 after leaving a residence in a white ford tauras to go out on a movie date.On friday, february 16, 2024, the investigation led detectives and officers to the 4100 block of 10th avenue wylam where officers located the couple’s white ford tauras.Upon further investigation, officers observed the victims inside the vehicle suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.The preliminary investigation suggests the couple were both victims of a homicide

At approximately 2:40 pm, south precinct officers were dispatched to the 4500 block of 6th avenue south on report of a person down inside of a residence.Officers arrived on the scene and entered a residence when they observed an adult male victim lying unresponsive.Birmingham fire and rescue personnel arrived on the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.This case was originally investigated as an unclassified death. The jefferson county medical examiner’s office conducted an autopsy on the victim; their preliminary investigation has led to this case being reclassified as a homicide

At approximately 7:45 pm, west precinct officers were dispatched to interstate 59 south just after the arkadelphia road on-ramp on report of a person shot. Officers arrived on the scene and observed a white 2008 ford edge that had collided into the median. Officers observed the driver suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Birmingham fire and rescue personnel arrived on the scene and pronounced the victim deceased. The preliminary investigation suggests the victim was traveling from the “downtown area” prior to the shooting. Detectives are asking if anyone was traveling along this route between 7:15 pm – 7:45 pm that has a dashcam to please contact us directly.

At approximately 7:00 p.M., officers from east precinct observed a pick up truck traveling on the wrong side of the road in the 9100 block of parkway east. Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop and the suspect stopped at tienda y taqueria mexican restaurant in the 8500 block of 1st avenue north. The suspect exited the vehicle and fled inside the restaurant. Officers pursued the suspect into the restaurant. The suspect began to throw glass bottles at the officers. The officers responded by deploying their conducted electrical weapons (tasers) at the suspect. A physical altercations ensued and the suspect gained control of one of the officer’s tasers. During the confrontation officers discharged their firearms striking the suspect. The suspect continued to fight officers before ultimately collapsing

N august of 2000, laneshia crowder, a 21-year-old single mother of two children resided in carrollton, georgia. On monday, august 14, 2000, at approximately 10:00 p.M., crowder's body was discovered after no one had spoken with crowder for several days. Crowder's son had been assaulted in the incident. The second child was unharmed. Crowder was last known to be alive on saturday, august 12, 2000. It is believed that sometime after midnight in the early morning hours of sunday, august 13, 2000, laneshia crowder was attacked and assaulted, resulting in her death.
