Shots were fired.There was a heavy police presence on the scene; officers believed the suspect was still in the area. Officers were able to talk a person of interest into coming outside of a residence. The person of interest was taken into custody free of incident. The person of interest was transported to bpd headquarters where he will be interviewed by homicide detectives. Omicide detectives will present case information to the jefferson county district attorney’s office who will then decide whether criminal charges should be filed.Agency
