On monday, august 14, 2000, at approximately 10:00 p.M., crowder's body was discovered after no one had spoken with crowder for several days. Crowder's son had been assaulted in the incident. The second child was unharmed. Crowder was last known to be alive on saturday, august 12, 2000. It is believed that sometime after midnight in the early morning hours of sunday, august 13, 2000, laneshia crowder was attacked and assaulted, resulting in her death.Agency

At approximately 7:00 p.M., officers from east precinct observed a pick up truck traveling on the wrong side of the road in the 9100 block of parkway east. Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop and the suspect stopped at tienda y taqueria mexican restaurant in the 8500 block of 1st avenue north. The suspect exited the vehicle and fled inside the restaurant. Officers pursued the suspect into the restaurant. The suspect began to throw glass bottles at the officers. The officers responded by deploying their conducted electrical weapons (tasers) at the suspect. A physical altercations ensued and the suspect gained control of one of the officer’s tasers. During the confrontation officers discharged their firearms striking the suspect. The suspect continued to fight officers before ultimately collapsingAgency
