A 19-year-old young man, and a father to a young boy was shot to death on monday near a community center in the orchard gardens housing development in roxbury becoming boston’s first homicide victims of 2017, according to the police. The shooting occurred on dearborn street at around 7:27 p.M. On january 9, 2017 near a community center that houses the boys & girls club’s orchard gardens club. When the officers arrived on the scene, they located a 19-year-old male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
