Upon approaching the vehicle the officer observed the rear driver’s side vent window to be shattered and what appeared to be a bullet hole in the front driver’s side window. Upon further investigation, a black male was discovered deceased in the driver’s seat of the vehicle. The deceased was identified as rodney medlock. It was discovered that medlock was a recent witness in a federal case against multiple people in the goldsboro area. Medlock had also recently possessed a large amount of cash, which was not located. Williams’ infant son was recovered unharmed by his vehicle, by the residents of unit #7 castle brewer court. Williams was transported to the central florida regional hospital where he passed away from his injury. As officers were responding they encountered a blue saturn with heavy front end damage in the area of 9th street and french avenue. Contact was made with three occupants, two males and a female. The male driver, identified as benjamin lovingood, was found to be unresponsive behind the steering wheel. Lovingood sustained injury to his back from a single bullet. Several bullet holes were observed in the rear of the vehicle as well. Lovingood was pronounced deceased as a result of his injury. The witnesses in the vehicle described being in the william clark housing projects in an attempt to purchase narcotics. At that time three unknown black males opened fire on them while they were in the vehicle. The vehicle fled, crashing into a telephone pole, then continued to flee to the area where police encountered it. On november 16, 2007, the seminole county sheriff’s office responded to the area of 216 stefanik road in winter park in response to a report of gunfire. Upon arrival, they located keira banks, b/f 24 years old, unconscious in the doorway of her home. Banks died two days later from her injuries.
